Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, CA or Mills River, NC seeks a Senior Talent Development Specialist to lead learning and talent programs across the company. This role combines program ownership, facilitation, LMS administration, and support for performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and onboarding.

This role partners with HR, leaders, and SMEs to deliver practical development opportunities for employees and leaders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver New Employee Orientation (NEO) across locations.
• Support performance management, succession planning, and talent reviews.
• Own and run Manager in Training and Supervisor in Training programs.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual learning for leaders on development topics.
• Administer LMS configuration, course assignments, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Develop eLearning content with SMEs and maintain training resources.
• Track learning metrics and report on program effectiveness.
• Identify learning needs with HR and leaders and implement practical solutions.

Get to Know This Role

The Senior Talent Development Specialist leads learning and talent development programs across Sierra Nevada. This role combines program ownership, facilitation, learning systems administration, and support for key talent processes including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and onboarding. This position serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for our Learning Management System (LMS), owns our Manager in Training and Supervisor in Training programs, and coordinates New Employee Orientation (NEO) at either our Chico or Mills River Brewery, depending on where the role is based. This role partners closely with HR, leaders, and subject matter experts to deliver practical, effective development opportunities for employees and leaders.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate and facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO), partnering with HR to maintain a consistent onboarding experience across locations.
• Support performance management, succession planning, and talent review processes.
• Own and facilitate the Manager in Training and Supervisor in Training programs.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual learning for employees and people leaders on leadership, professional development, performance management, and other organizational learning needs.
• Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including system configuration, course assignments, content management, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and maintain eLearning, blended learning, job aids, facilitator guides, and other training resources.
• Coordinate and support other leadership, professional development, and Talent Development initiatives based on organizational priorities.
• Develop, track, and report on learning and development metrics, including participation, completion, learner feedback, and program effectiveness. Use data and feedback to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to understand learning and development needs and identify practical solutions to support employees, leaders, and the business.
• Stay current on learning and talent development practices, tools, and technology.

• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved required
• 7 years of experience in Learning and development including learning program design, facilitation, and continuous program optimization required and
• Experience facilitating learning or development programs for employees and people leaders. required and
• Experience administering an LMS and developing or managing learning content required and
• Experience supporting talent processes such as performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, or leadership development required and
• Experience using learning data, metrics, and feedback to evaluate programs and identify opportunities for improvement required and
• A balance of strong facilitation and technical skills, with the ability to move comfortably between working with people, programs, systems, and data required and
• Working knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and talent development practices.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage employees and leaders in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems, such as UKG, and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline.
• Understanding of talent management practices, including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development.
• Ability to use learning and talent data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and improve processes.
