Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Senior System/Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure and cloud-native architectures. You will work with development teams to ensure scalable, secure systems and lead IaC initiatives using Terraform and Ansible.

The role requires 10+ years of system/network engineering, TS/SCI with CI Poly, DoD RMF knowledge, and a Bachelor's in a technical field. Must be a U.S. citizen; San Antonio, TX or NCR location options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of system/network engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.
• Expert Kubernetes and container technologies proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of networks, routing and security.
• Experience designing multi-cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Experience with Istio/Linkerd service mesh.
• Understanding of DoD RMF security requirements.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph; U.S. citizenship.

The Senior System/Network Engineer leads infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization efforts for the unified solution. This position provides technical leadership for complex infrastructure challenges, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and secure. The engineer works closely with development teams to implement cloud-native architectures and optimize system performance.

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
