Job summary

RTX’s Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) at White Sands Missile Range, NM seeks a qualified Systems Engineer to support the MFMS hardware, operations, integration, test and evaluation. The candidate will work on-site to facilitate testing and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience, experience with IF/RF hardware, UNIX/Linux, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in STEM and 5+ years engineering experience.
  • Experience with IF/RF hardware and IHawk computer.
  • Proficient with UNIX/Linux and test instrumentation.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system interface, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, and verification to ensure operational equipment performance.
  • Perform calibrations of the system hardware to ensure systems are within tolerance for critical real-time operations.
  • Provide quick resolution of system problems/failures that occur during operations.
  • Analyze radar and MFMS data test results and data collection activities.
  • Some travel to remote and domestic locations - CONUS and OCONUS to support program requirements, anticipated travel around 15%.
  • Other tasks as required for program and/or company support.

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range, NM is searching for a qualified Systems Engineer to join the team. They will provide support to the Mobile Flight Mission Simulator (MFMS) hardware, operations, integration, test, and evaluation. The candidate will work in an engineering environment to support and facilitate testing of engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements and industry standards. Occasional travel within the United States and internationally is required.

What You Will Do

Qualifications
  • Typically requires Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience with IF and/or RF equipment, IHawk computer, digital logic, and peripheral hardware.
  • Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
  • Experience with instrumentation, and/or test equipment, i.e (oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer).
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Thorough knowledge of analog/digital hardware design and related firmware.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, work under stress, and be flexible to support across multiple disciplines.
  • May require long hours and/or weekend work, travel for periods of time between domestic locations and to remote sites in support of program requirements.
  • Ability to work in remote and hazardous location.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
