You'll join a small, nimble team of exceptional engineers working on mission-critical software that powers our entire retail operation. Think about it: "If you can't find it, you can't sell it." Your code will directly impact our customer experience, across our 7,000+ stores nationwide and/or Online, influencing millions of transactions daily.

The Technical Adventure Awaits

You'll be helping to build cloud-native solutions on GCP that scale massively across our enterprise. This isn't just any software project – this is the technological backbone of a Fortune 500 company's digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop cloud-based search solutions that power both our digital channels and in-store systems
Create robust, high-performance microservices that can withstand enterprise-level traffic
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of elite developers through peer design and code reviews
Troubleshoot complex problems with minimal supervision
Mentor less experienced team members while continuously growing your own skills
Work directly with product owners to understand their needs and to shape the future of our technology stack
Operate in an Agile environment focused on incremental, high-impact delivery

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

Are you an Enterprise-level Developer?
Enterprise mindset with a startup-like passion for innovation
Outstanding problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking – you thrive on complex technical challenges
Quality obsession – you write code that's robust, testable via automation, and maintainable
8-15 years of hands-on software development experience, including:
5+ years of Java
2+ years of Spring framework, Spring Boot
3+ years of Python
3+ years of Cloud Development in GCP (preferred) or other Cloud environments
Experience with modern SCM tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Self-driven attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
Wait, isn't Search experience required?! No, we'll teach that to you if need be. We need great developers who write great code!

Bonus Points

Experience with search technologies like Solr (preferred) or Elasticsearch
Retail industry or Supply Chain System experience
Unix Shell Scripting
