Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a graphics systems specialist to provide global 3rd level engineering support for immersive production solutions. You will design, test, and deploy cutting-edge graphics technologies while mentoring Tier 2 staff.

You will collaborate across regions, document standards, and drive knowledge sharing within the COE to enhance readiness for live and virtual production environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in broadcast tech for live productions.
  • Experience with 2D/3D graphics, AR/VR/XR, and camera tracking.
  • Ability to document procedures and mentor Tier 2 staff.

Responsibilities

  • Laboratory testing of new software versions and graphics workflows.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation and on-call support for critical incidents.
  • Create and update documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

The Job

As a specialist in graphics, the candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert responsible for providing global 3rd Level Engineering support, participating in the design and delivery of graphics and immersive production solutions, researching and evaluating new technologies, ensuring complete documentation is available to all COE participants, and providing Level 2 support guidance. The candidate will also play a key role in developing standards, training Tier 2 support staff, and driving knowledge sharing across the organization.

The Daily – Major Activities

Laboratory Testing: Conducting tests on new software versions and features, tracking bugs, monitoring hardware for graphics systems, testing graphics deployments on-premises and in the cloud, and evaluating new technologies and workflows for operational use.

Support: Troubleshooting complex issues, following-up on issues with suppliers & vendors, managing tickets, and serving as a Tier 3 escalation point for critical production incidents. Being available on-call for global emergencies (Major Incidents).

Documentation and Training: Creating and updating documentation, standards, and operational procedures for graphics systems. Generating SOPs for Tier 2 support, providing training, and helping build support readiness across regions.

Design and Implementation for New Projects: Participating in the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of new graphics and immersive production systems, including documentation and training for Tier 2 support and other COE team members.

Participation in COE Meetings: Attending meetings to track issues, discuss new projects, and analyze and define future technology solutions.

The Essentials
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with broadcast technology related to live productions, including knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics systems, AR/VR/XR solutions, and camera tracking systems.
  • Methodical in troubleshooting issues both in the lab and during support cases.
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or integrating production technology solutions.
  • Detail-oriented in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to mentor and share knowledge with engineering and support teams.
The Nice to Haves
  • Knowledge of implementing cloud-based production solutions.
  • Experience with graphics platforms such as VizRT, Ross XPression, Pixotope, Unreal Engine, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with tracking systems, virtual production environments, or LED volume technologies.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or workflow integration.
