Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a graphics specialist within the COE AR/VR/GFX to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for global 3rd Level engineering support.

The role includes on‑call coverage for major incidents, researching new technologies, and ensuring comprehensive documentation is accessible to all COE participants, while mentoring Tier 2 staff. Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests on new software versions, track bugs, monitor hardware for graphic systems, and test graphics deployments in the cloud.
  • Provide global 3rd Level engineering support, including on‑call for Major Incidents.
  • Create and update documentation for graphic systems; develop SOPs for Tier 2 support and training.
  • Lead training and oversee knowledge transfer to Tier 2 support staff.
  • Participate in COE meetings to discuss issues, projects, and new technologies.

Job description

The Job

As a specialist in graphics and a member of the COE AR/VR/GFX, the candidate will be a SME responsible for providing global 3rd Level of Engineering support, covering on‑call shifts to act in case of an emergency, participating in the research and selection of new technologies, ensuring complete documentation is available to all COE participants, and providing level‑2 support. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for training and overseeing the knowledge of Tier 2 support staff.

The Daily – Major Activities
  • Laboratory Testing: Conducting tests on new software versions and features, tracking bugs, monitoring hardware for graphic systems, and testing graphics deployments on the cloud.
  • Support: Troubleshooting, following up on issues with suppliers, managing tickets, being available on‑call for global emergencies (Major Incidents).
  • Documentation and Training: Creating and updating documentation for graphic systems, generating SOPs for Tier 2 support and providing training.
  • Design and Implementation for New Projects: Including documentation and training for Tier 2 support and other COE team members.
  • Participation in COE Meetings: Attending meetings to track issues, discuss new projects, and analyze and define technologies.
The Essentials
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with broadcasting equipment related to live productions, and knowledge of 2D and 3D graphic systems and tracking systems.
  • Methodical in troubleshooting issues both in the lab and during support cases.
  • Detail‑oriented in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across the organization.
The Nice to Haves
  • Knowledge of implementing cloud‑based production solutions.
