Job summary

RBR-Technologies is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability analyses for large DoD systems. The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, leadership of a technical team, and collaboration with customers to ensure mission success.

You will perform independent verification of security requirements, contribute to acquisition documents, and guide team members to exceed performance expectations in a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Minimum 15 years of System Engineering experience.
• Relevant BS degree in STEM; MS in STEM counts for additional years.
• Six years as a System Engineer lead leading and coordinating diverse teams.
• Zero Trust experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DoD systems with Defensive Cyber Operations mindset.
• Conduct long-term vulnerability assessments using systems engineering principles and available documentation.
• Verify and validate security requirements and capabilities in acquisition docs.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for system resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Systems Engineers and build a strong, capable team.
• Foster relationships with customers to gain insights and documentation for mission success.

RBR-Technologies has an immediately available opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an Offensive Cyber Operations mindset to perform Defensive Cyber Operations activities.
• Perform long-term, in-depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principles and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.
• Perform independent verification and validation of security requirements and capabilities, incorporating systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements).
• Perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations.
• As a technical leader, Systems Engineers will report to you directly. You will ensure they are fully utilized, their best skillset is being used, while encouraging them to exceed technical performance expectations. Participate in building a strong team with depth in the system engineering process and how it can be utilized in different areas within the mission space.
• Leverage your interpersonal skills to foster relationship development with our customers to gain additional insights, information, and documentation to improve our ability to accomplish our mission.

Qualifications

• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required (CI within 6 years).
• Minimum 15 years of System Engineering experience (BS Degree in STEM will account for 4 years and MS in STEM will count for additional 2 years).
• Relevant BS degree in STEM field.
• Six years as a System Engineer lead with experience leading, managing, and collaborating with a broad range of organizations and groups and teams.
• Zero Trust experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc.).
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160.
• Familiarity with INCOSE defined lifecycle systems engineering processes.
• Experience with / knowledge of large-scale DoD systems.
