Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise monitoring capabilities. The role focuses on observability, alerting, and reducing false positives across infrastructure and applications.

The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in Zabbix, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration to drive operational excellence within Temple Health’s on-site environment three days a week at the Women's and Families Hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5 years IT support experience required.
• 3 years implementing monitoring platforms required.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Zabbix certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Develop monitoring standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, and reporting.
• Improve service visibility while minimizing false positives and alert fatigue.
• Support proactive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.

Description

Temple Health is seeking an experienced Sr Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise monitoring capabilities. This role will serve as the technical lead for monitoring and observability initiatives, leveraging Zabbix and related technologies to improve visibility, alerting, and operational responsiveness across infrastructure and application environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in monitoring technologies, observability, data analysis, alert management, infrastructure operations, and systems administration, along with a collaborative approach to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Develop monitoring standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, and reporting.
• Improve service visibility while minimizing false positives and alert fatigue.
• Support proactive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.

Education

3 years of direct experience implementing, administering, and supporting infrastructure monitoring platforms

2 years of Unix/Linux administration experience Preferred
