Vaco is partnering with a growing, global organization in Florence, Kentucky to identify an Experienced Systems Administrator. This is a hands-on infrastructure role with broad responsibility across systems, networks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and global IT operations.

The position offers the opportunity to work closely with IT leadership, influence infrastructure strategy, and support a complex hybrid environment spanning multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise server, network, and cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and drive infrastructure improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support a hybrid environment consisting of on-premises servers, cloud platforms, and SaaS applications.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and related technologies.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security across the enterprise.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure modernization projects, cloud initiatives, and technology upgrades.
• Drive standardization across hardware, software, and infrastructure platforms.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Assist with infrastructure planning, budgeting, and vendor management.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role with broad responsibility across systems, networks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and global IT operations. Successful candidates will have experience with both day-to-day administration and technology improvement initiatives.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with IT leadership, influence infrastructure strategy, and support a complex hybrid environment spanning multiple locations.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

What You'll Do

Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• Administer and support a hybrid environment consisting of on-premises servers, cloud platforms, and SaaS applications.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and related technologies.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security across the enterprise.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

Network & Security Management

• Support and maintain enterprise networking including firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, and WAN connectivity.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls including MFA, endpoint protection, identity management, and security monitoring solutions.
• Partner with vendors and managed service providers to ensure secure and reliable operations.
• Assist with security audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.

Project & Technology Initiatives

• Lead or participate in infrastructure modernization projects, cloud initiatives, and technology upgrades.
• Drive standardization efforts across hardware, software, and infrastructure platforms.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve operational efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Assist with infrastructure planning, budgeting, and vendor management activities.

Operational Support

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Support business-critical operations requiring high system availability.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise server, network, and cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and drive infrastructure improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or other operationally intensive environments.
• Exposure to global infrastructure and collaboration with remote teams or vendors.
• Experience working within hybrid cloud environments.
