Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Applications/Systems Engineer to define and debug analog IC products for AI, data center and telecom applications.

You will develop reference circuits and provide technical support for key customers while collaborating across design, field applications, and marketing teams. You will author datasheets and notes, create effective power management solutions for high-performance computing and cloud markets, and engage with customers through

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with switch-mode power supplies (DC/DC, AC/DC, inverters).
• Experience with low-voltage/high-current multi-phase buck converters for CPU/GPU power delivery is a plus.
• Fluent English communication and strong writing/presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Job Summary: This is a senior level position in application/system engineering.

Responsibilities include defining and debugging analog IC products for AI, data center and telecom applications, providing technical support for key customers, developing reference circuits, and writing datasheets and application/design notes.

Essential Functions

• Provide application technical support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers.
• Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define and debug analog/digital IC products in DC/DC converters, Core power conversion, and DrMOS applications.
• Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for high performance computing, networking, server and cloud markets.
• Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.

Qualifications

• Hand-on experience in switch mode power supplies including DC/DC, AC/DC or inverters.
• Previous experience with low voltage/high current multi-phase buck converter design/test/optimization for CPU/GPU power delivery applications is highly preferred.
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Self-motivated
• Previous experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company is a plus
• MSEE with 3-5 years working experience or PhD EE required

Salary

The base salary range for this position in California is $130,000 - $180,000.

The base salary range for this position in Washington is $120,000 - $170,000.
