  • Create roadmaps to meet long-term sustainment requirements with budget targets.
  • Apply lessons learned to craft courses of action for future opportunities.
  • Develop cost, pricing, schedule, and risk data for new initiatives; manage proposals.
  • Provide proposal support ensuring on-time deliverables.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Sustainment Development Manager will lead Integrated Product Support (IPS) teams supporting Edison Works Advanced Adaptive Engine Programs. The person for this role is expected to demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives with respect to the long-term sustainment of Advanced Adaptive Engine Programs. In this role, you will develop and integrate processes to support customers and their priorities as well as business needs across the organization, managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise, leading long-term planning, and contributing to the overall business strategy. This role is expected to apply GE Aerospace’s Flight Deck principles to drive execution rigor through Daily Management and Weekly Operating Reviews and application of structured problem solving to remove barriers and improve outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead internal GE and external customer teams in the planning, development, and stand‑up of essential Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities across all levels of maintenance and repair capabilities included in a comprehensive Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) program for the Advanced Adaptive Engine Program
  • Lead cross functional teams to develop logistics sustainment capabilities to include (but not limited to) operational and depot maintenance concepts of sustainment, flight test requirements, and integration of sustainment supply chain activities into initial maintenance fielding requirements
  • Ensure teams incorporate processes to develop, mature and enhance engine Condition-Based Maintenance plus (CBM+) capabilities
  • Integrate supply chain functions into sustainment development plans
  • Develop options and make recommendations within areas of responsibility to improve maintenance and sustainment capabilities and reduce engine life cycle cost
  • Create roadmaps/lead studies to develop executable strategies to meet customer long-term sustainment requirements with cost and budget objectives
  • Utilize experience and lessons learned to develop courses of action for future business opportunities
  • Develop cost, pricing, schedule, and risk data for new initiatives and manage proposals
  • Provide proposal development support to deliver IPS and Sustainment proposal inputs, including requirements interpretation, compliance matrices, basis of estimate, cost/schedule/risk content, and on‑time deliverable closure through established operating rhythms
  • Execute other tasks and activities as determined by the Edison Works Sustainment Director
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university ( or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years in a Leadership Role ) + minimum of 5 years of Leadership experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Leadership Role
  • Strong understanding of U.S. military organizations; military maintenance, logistics, and sustainment organizations roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to work full‑time, on‑site at GE Aerospace headquarters in Cincinnati, OH; due to security requirements there are limited work from home or remote opportunities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have or qualify for a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • This role is restricted to U.S. Citizens
Desired Characteristics
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Direct experience working in and/or with U.S. Air Force Materiel Command or DoW related industry experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. military maintenance and sustainment processes and procedures, and the DoD’s Integrated Product Support elements
  • Direct fielding experience and managing 5th Generation weapon systems
  • Familiarity with turbine engine operation and knowledge of maintenance, logistics and sustainment processes for military turbine engines
  • Experience managing aircraft and/or propulsion maintenance workloads across all levels of maintenance (Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-levels)
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and external customers
  • Experience managing the maintenance and sustainment of GE Aerospace military propulsion systems
