Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in the United States is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering professional to drive supplier quality and manufacturing excellence across key Carrier suppliers. You will lead quality programs, coach suppliers, and apply advanced quality tools to achieve zero-defect outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial settings, strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and PPAP-like audits, and up to 30% travel (domestic and international).

  • 5+ years in manufacturing, automotive or industrial environment.

About This Role

We are looking for a seasoned Quality Engineering professional who can operate as an individual contributor to drive objectives that directly impact their area of responsibility. Beyond executing core engineering goals, the role may involve managing key Quality Engineering processes and strategic projects. The ideal candidate leverages deep industry experience and technical knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation protocols and control systems.

Job Description
  • Drive Carrier Supplier Excellence performance for assigned suppliers.
  • Supplier manufacturing quality – drive implementation of product certification (Pro-Cert) and Quality improvements at key Carrier suppliers (may be assigned specific commodities such as fans, blowers, and motors)
  • Provide onsite guidance and coaching to key suppliers to drive improvements in performance and championing onsite Supplier Quality Audits and Process Audits
  • Design for manufacturing improvements on future products
  • Support the Carrier manufacturing plants in improving PPAP completion/readiness.
  • Work with suppliers to improve warranty.
  • Act as a coach/facilitator for supplier quality improvement events and teaching quality tools
  • Attain business objectives for quality, warranty spending, SPPM, FPY, and safety.
  • Approximately 30% travel will be required (as needed)
  • Serving as a qualified expert in support of quality/compliance investigations, as required with the supplier base.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment
  • 3+ years of experience in quality and supplier quality disciplines
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, and engineering applying the quality tools including APQP, FMEA, Control plans, PPAP, Supplier Audits (similar to CQS, ISO/IATF), SPC, MSA, DoE and RRCA tools to drive zero-defect quality
  • Ability to travel up 30% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Must have a valid passport or be capable of acquiring one
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical engineering preferred
  • Six Sigma black belt
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving / 8D / Look Across skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Excellent project management skills and comfortable communicating at all levels of management and with external customers and suppliers
  • A highly motivated, self-directed, organized, flexible individual that is customer and results-focused
  • Ability to travel domestically and Internationally based on company needs
Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
