Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on ensuring supplier quality, PPAP deliverables, and collaboration with NPI teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on NPI projects and parts.
• Maintain supplier information on the ASL including supplier type, segmentation, and audit records.
• Qualify suppliers according to PPAP requirements.
• Work with suppliers on qualification deliverables (control plans, PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ, process capability studies, first article inspections).
• Develop inspection methods with supplier and metrology teams and establish sampling plans.
• Prepare, review, and approve change orders.
• Investigate and disposition non-conforming material.
• Resolve supplier-related problems as they occur.
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback on operations.

Job description

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Sr Supplier Qual Engineer with our medical device client in Fort Worth, TX. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay

$50.00 - $60.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description

• Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on new product introduction (NPI) projects and parts.
• Adds and maintains supplier information on the ASL (approved supplier list) including supplier type, segmentation, selection, agreements, and audit records.
• Qualifies suppliers according to company standards including PPAP (production part approval process).
• Works with suppliers on qualification deliverables such as control plans, risk managment files/PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ documents, process capablity studies, and first article inspections.
• Works with supplier and incoming inspection / metrology teams to develop inspection methods, validate test methods, and establish acceptance sampling plans.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves change orders.
• Investigates and dispositions non-conforming material.
• Resolves supplier-related probelms as they occur.
• Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.
