Job description

Our client, a well-established and growing single-source building manufacturer, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team. You'll produce sealed structural drawings for buildings nationwide, working hands-on with cold-formed steel, hot-rolled steel, concrete, and masonry systems across single-story and multi-story projects. Your engineering decisions directly shape the built environment — if you thrive managing concurrent projects, mentoring team members, and driving scalable design standards, this is your opportunity.

Projects You’ll Work On
  • Perform structural analysis and design using cold-formed steel framing, hot-rolled steel, concrete, and masonry systems.
  • Produce stamped, code-compliant construction documents and bills of material from blueprints, construction details, and sales contracts.
  • Apply model building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISI, AISC) and jurisdictional requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Develop and maintain company-wide Revit standards, driving consistency across all design workflows.
  • Review and coordinate drawings from drafters and BIM technicians for accuracy and engineering alignment.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects on time while responding to RFIs and field challenges with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, drafters, and Revit technicians to build capability and design consistency.
What Experience You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally including cold-formed steel design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required with ability to stamp and seal drawings. SE license is a plus.
  • Strong command of cold-formed steel, hot-rolled steel, concrete, and masonry systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit (required); experience with company Revit standards preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISI, AISC, and related structural design codes.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • 40+ years of manufacturing heritage with a growing multi-story design practice in a fast-expanding segment of commercial construction.
  • Own and shape company-wide Revit and engineering standards — your work becomes the organizational blueprint.
  • Cross-functional environment where engineering decisions have immediate, visible impact.
