Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Atlanta team. You will design structural systems for diverse projects, lead a collaborative team, and coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of structural engineering experience, a PE license, seismic expertise, and proficiency with Rev it and RAM/RISA tools. You will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional license is required.
• Seismic experience is required.
• Ability to identify applicable codes per jurisdiction for each project.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for a variety of project types including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historic, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse and renovations.
• Interact with clients and attend meetings with architects and contractors; mentor junior staff.
• Prepare design calculations and construction documents; review shop drawings and submittals; perform site reviews and respond to RFIs.
• Coordinate information across disciplines to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and company quality standards.
• Ensure knowledge and application of relevant codes; work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities/Project Types/Experience Required

• Designing structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.
• Interacting with clients, attending client, architect and contractor meetings, reviewing structural documentation, managing and supervising/mentoring junior staff.
• Preparing design calculations and managing the preparation of the construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews and preparing RFI responses.
• Coordinating information across all disciplines to ensure deliverables are compliant with client expectations and co. quality levels.
• Experience should include wood, steel, load-bearing light gage steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry design in low to mid-rise structures.
• Shallow and deep foundation system design experience required.
• 10 plus years' minimum experience in structural engineering.
• Must be a self-starter and always willing to listen, learn and improve.
• Professional license is required.
• Seismic experience is required.
• Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
• Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines, and bring each to completion.
• Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
• Project management experience/ability is required.
• Must demonstrate team leadership ability.
