Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join the Corporate Indirect Procurement CST team. The role focuses on building category strategies, executing them across regions, and achieving total cost of ownership improvements in an environment that blends headquarters work with field locations.
The position is hybrid and can be located in Geismar, LA or Houston, TX, offering collaboration with cross-functional teams and exposure to global contracts and supplier
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation with global contracts.
- Experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)

- Develop robust commodity strategies for Indirect Category Strategy Team considering quality, cost, speed and service requirements, market conditions, risks and exposures.
- Partner with Buying Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to align and execute strategy across regions.
- Consolidate global spend, reduce non-strategic suppliers, and move activities upstream for greater value.
- Execute annual operating plan with improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity.
- Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers meeting business requirements and global strategies.

As a Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be a part of the Corporate Indirect Procurement Operating Supplies Category Strategy Team (CST), responsible for category strategies, execution, and results to optimize total cost of ownership across all regions.
This is a hybrid role and can be located in Geismar, LA or Houston TX.
Develop robust commodity strategies for the Indirect Category Strategy Team and with consideration to quality, cost, speed and service requirements, market conditions, risks and exposures, competitive landscape, and projected changes over the strategic planning horizon, global industry trends, suppliers’ capabilities, and overall supply chain expertise
Partner with Buying Operations Team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution. Facilitate engagement across all regions to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned commodity space
Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Solstice
Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity
Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies while maximizing benefit to Solstice
Minimum of 3 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience
Minimum of 2 years in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation with global contracts
Experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
Bachelor's degree
Negotiation skills with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations
Knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms
Ability to deliver against targets for financial performance business impact
Experience assessing risk and concisely explaining complex issues to principal business owners
Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization

The annual base salary for this position is $92,889-$116,169. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
