Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Purchasing & Materials Planner to manage external POs for raw materials and packaging, monitor SAP-based planning, and optimize inventory across manufacturing sites and tolling partners.

You will collaborate with supply planners, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries, favorable stock levels, and proactive cycle counting. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in manufacturing supply chain are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials planning, detailed scheduling, or logistics.
  • Strong user of MRP/ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Strong team player, able to collaborate across manufacturing, logistics, planning, and commercial teams.
  • Process improvement and problem-solving mindset with a track record.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Place and manage external Purchase Orders for materials including raw materials and packaging.
  • Monitor SAP messages and planning balances daily; adjust PO timing/quantities to control inventory.
  • Manage shelf-life expiration risk on key packaging materials and mitigate financial risks.
  • Support planners for PO placements for global materials or tolling subcontracts.
  • Coordinate with logistics on equipment availability and pickup scheduling.
  • Coordinate with warehouse on internal movement of packaging supplies.
  • Coordinate emergency purchases to support 24/7 operations.
  • Drive inventory optimization to reduce excess and slow-moving stock.
  • Participate in cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes.

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing purchases of raw materials and packaging materials to support production plans and inventory targets across our internal manufacturing sites and external tolling partners. It works with suppliers and procurement to drive on-time delivery while partnering with supply planners to control inventory levels.

Responsibilities
  • Place and manage external Purchase Orders for assigned materials including raw material and packaging items
  • Monitor SAP material exception messages and planning balances daily and take action on changes to PO timing and quantity to control inventory levels and support production changes
  • Manage shelf-life expiration risk on key packaging materials including tracking of financial risks and driving actions to mitigate
  • Support supply planners for placement of purchase orders for global materials or tolling subcontracts as needed
  • Coordinate with logistics on equipment availability and pickup scheduling at key raw material suppliers
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel on internal movement of packaging supplies to manufacturing and tolling sites
  • Coordinate emergency purchases to support critical manufacturing site needs in 24/7 operation, working directly with suppliers to overcome barriers
  • Drive Inventory optimization actions to reduce excess, reduce slow moving inventory, and actively manage inbound timing
  • Participate in cycle counting and Inventory accuracy processes for supported sites
Qualifications
You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field2+ years’ experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience in materials planning, detailed scheduling, or logistics
  • Strong user of MRP/ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Strong team player, able to collaborate across manufacturing, logistics, planning, and commercial teams
  • Process improvement and problem-solving mindset and track record
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel
WE VALUE
  • Experience in Materials Management, Operations, SIOP, Inventory Management, MRP MPS, Procurement Logistics or Manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of material control systems such as MRP/SAP systems
  • APICS or CPIM Certification
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to solve complex organizational problemsAbility to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in leading/driving change
Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $75016k - $93712k Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
