Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to contribute across the entire product lifecycle, delivering enterprise-grade security services.

You will collaborate with PM, SRE, ML, and QA teams to translate vision into scalable backend architectures and robust microservices. The role emphasizes solving complex challenges in cloud-native environments with Python or Golang, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Developing and automating the upcoming new software features in cloud environment.
• Domain expertise in designing, building, and operating highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems, with exceptional programming skills in Python or Golang.
• Execution of designing enterprise-wide Microservices architectures, building, and deploying high-throughput, globally scaled APIs to meet strict SLOs, maximize throughput, and reduce compute costs in production.
• Experience with cloud-native solutions (GCP preferred), relational/NoSQL databases, container management (Kubernetes), enterprise CI/CD (GitLab, ArgoCD), and full-stack observability (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Working with the software engineering, product management, SRE teams during software product development and deployment.
• Experience developing, automating, and executing QA processes including test plans, test cases, software tools, and cloud infrastructure to improve product quality and efficiency of deployment and maintenance of the cloud system is a plus.
• Exposure to building, and deploying complex Agentic workflows, tool-use pipelines, or multi-agent orchestrations.

• Learn and implement modern engineering best practices, including agentic coding workflows and spec-driven development within the team.
• Working with the software engineering, product management, SRE teams during software product development and deployment.
• Execution of large-scale enterprise systems with model serving infrastructure, ensuring seamless, scalable integration across backend services and partner engineering services.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
