Job summary

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Senior Staff Test Engineer to develop power ICs with GaN focus. You will contribute to ATE hardware development, data analysis, and root cause analysis, enabling on-time datasheet completion and robust testing practices.

You will collaborate with Design, Product, and Reliability teams, manage NPI gates, track schedules with Smartsheet, and drive quality and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• MS degree and above
• GaN power experience required

Responsibilities

• GaN project management
• Track project schedules using Smartsheet
• Track NPI fab lots status and NPI build status
• Coordinate with marketing, PE and device teams on NPI gates
• Ensure datasheets are completed on time
• Keep projects on track and aligned with goals
• Collaborate with package R&D for bonding diagrams and support
• Manage qualification activity for GaN products
• Define qualification methodology with reliability engineer
• Manage wafers for qualification
• Handle lot start requests for NPI
• Join weekly GaN project management calls
• Conduct yield analysis and tracking
• Establish CP, FT, PAT/GDBN, SYL/SBL
• Generate CP & FT reports for engineering & qual lots
• Define CP, FT, QC test plans

This position will work with Design Engineers, Product Engineers, and Applications Engineers to develop new power IC's. Senior Staff Test Engineer will be an individual contributor with minimal supervision in ATE hardware development, test software development, data analysis, and strong fundamentals of root cause analysis.

Primary Job Duties:

• GaN project management
• Track project schedules using smartsheet
• Track NPI fab lots status - Track NPI build status
• Work with marketing team & PE & device team to manage NPI gates
• Work with PE & AE teams to ensure datasheets are completed on time
• Responsible for ensuring projects stays on track
• Work with package R&D team for bonding diagrams & package support

Manage qualification activity for GaN products

• Work with reliability engineer to define qualification methodology
• Manage wafers for qualification
• Manage lot start requests for NPI
• Participate weekly GaN project management calls
