Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead engineering execution for spacecraft programs in the Dulles, VA or McLean, VA area.

This onsite role directs IPTs across systems, hardware, software, integration and test, and production, guiding proposals, design, build, and delivery with KPIs on schedule and budget. The ideal candidate has 14+ years in engineering leadership, top-secret clearance, and a proven track record in EVMS, CAM, and cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of professional experience or Master’s with 12 years or PhD with 10 years.
  • Active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance required.
  • Experience in at least one spacecraft product development program.
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary teams to meet technical, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Experience managing complex technical programs and budgets.
  • Expert in EVMS and prior CAM experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for engineering execution to PMO.
  • Lead IPT Leads and subsystem leads across multiple disciplines.
  • Oversee engineering challenges, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, EVMS, EACs, and resource forecasts.
  • Provide progress briefings to internal and external stakeholders.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
