A full-time, hybrid Senior Staff DevOps opportunity is available with a biotechnology research company based in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with at least nine years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in AWS and Kubernetes, supporting and advancing the company’s cloud infrastructure and operations.

Role Overview: Step into a high-impact role as a Senior Staff Cloud DevOps Engineer, focusing on AWS and Kubernetes. Architect and implement scalable, secure cloud-native infrastructure, lead strategic initiatives, and collaborate with executive leadership to align technology with business goals. Drive innovation, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9+ years in Cloud, DevOps, or SRE roles
• 7+ years working with AWS and its services
• 5+ years experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting and cluster management
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Pulumi)
• Designing CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments (preferably with GitLab)
• Ability to lead proof-of-concept projects
• Excellent communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience:

• AWS and Kubernetes certifications
• Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Serverless platforms
• Knowledge of AWS services such as Athena, Glue, or Sagemaker
