Job description

A company in the medical research industry, located in Phoenix, is currently looking for a Senior Staff Cloud DevOps Engineer to add to their growing team. This engineer should be highly specialized in AWS and Kubernetes, and will be focused on architecture, design, engineering, and maitenance of scalable cloud-native environments. They will also develop technical roadmaps, provide expertise in cloud migrations, and mentor junior engineers on best practices while evangelizing cloud excellence across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of experience in a Cloud, DevOps or SRE focused position
• 7+ years of experience working with AWS and its various services
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience with expertise in troubleshooting, optimization and cluster management
• Expertise at least one programming language (Python or Go)
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK or Pulumi)
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise environment (preferably with GitLab)
• Ability to lead POCs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
