Position: Sr. SRE/Observability Engineer - Irving, Texas

Location: Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States

This is a permanent, full-time, salaried position with benefits. Not open to C2C or C2H.

Work Model: Hybrid (minimum three days on-site at our client's office in Irving, Texas)

Role Overview

NTT Data is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability/Observability Engineer with a deep understanding of SRE practices, observability, and extensive experience in SLO/SLI creation and management. This role will promote the adoption of SRE and observability best practices across the enterprise, utilizing enterprise observability services to deliver tangible business value.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and manage observability solutions, including metric identification, validation, centralization in GEM, Prometheus, and visualization in Grafana dashboards.
2. Write and manage complex queries and alert definitions.
3. Bridge the gap between Operations Support teams and SRE operations.
4. Configure and manage monitoring, alerts, and observability using tools like GEM, Splunk, Netcool, ELK, and AIM.
5. Maintain deep technical knowledge and operational experience with tools like AppDynamics, GEM, AIM, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
6. Understand and write code (Java, Python, Ansible, etc.), programs, config files, and complex queries.
7. Establish design patterns for monitoring and benchmarking SLOs.
8. Provide thought leadership and strategy in implementing and maintaining observability solutions.
9. Create and maintain operational process documentation for observability solutions.
10. Optimize the Observability Suite for monitoring applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least five years of experience with Grafana.
• At least two years of experience with Python, Java, Ansible.
• At least three years of experience with AppDynamics, GEM, AIM, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus.
