Job summary

Princess Cruises in Miami is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Strategic Projects to support the execution of strategic initiatives within Strategic Analytics and Special Projects.

You will maintain documentation, project plans, and governance, coordinating with shipboard teams and shoreside departments to keep programs on track. The role requires 4+ years in BI or project execution, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to travel to ships as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, project execution, or an analytical field, preferably in hospitality, cruise, or travel industries.
  • Experience developing process documentation, playbooks, or operating procedures.
  • Ability to travel periodically to ships as needed to support execution.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant financial impact.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, exercising sound judgment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of turning data and insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience translating ad hoc or undocumented processes into structured, repeatable documentation.
  • Advanced project management skills, including building and maintaining project plans, timelines, and trackers across multiple initiatives.
  • Comfort building relationships and credibility with senior stakeholders, including in settings without a manager present.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing presentations and reports for senior audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the travel, hospitality, or consumer experience industries is preferred.
  • This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of four days in the office per week (Monday – Thursday).
  • Beginning in 2028, this position will remain on the same Monday – Thursday in-office schedule but will transition to our new headquarters in the Miami, FL area.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and maintain process documentation and playbooks.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and trackers across active initiatives.
  • Monitor progress and proactively flag risks, dependencies, and timeline changes; Maintain shared documentation and project repositories.
  • Support execution of strategic initiatives, including periodic travel to ships as needed.
  • Coordinate with shipboard personnel and shoreside departments during active execution windows.
  • Manage day-to-day execution decisions within guardrails, escalating where needed.
  • Feed lessons learned from the field into SOPs, governance documents, and process design.
  • Support scaling of documentation and tools as the team's portfolio grows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for an amazing Sr. Specialist, Strategic Projects to fill this role, which is based in our Miami office. The Sr. Specialist, Strategic Projects supports the execution of strategic initiatives within Strategic Analytics, Special Projects, reporting to the Manager, Strategic Projects. This role builds and maintains the documentation, project plans, and operational infrastructure that keep strategic initiatives on track, while also supporting execution and stakeholder coordination onboard ships as needed. Within guardrails set by the Manager, the Sr. Specialist manages day-to-day execution decisions, escalating where scope, budget, or stakeholder sensitivity requires it. This role is essential to scaling the team's portfolio of initiatives by creating structure and consistency that doesn't rely on any one person, while keeping program leadership focused on strategy and senior stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
  • Documentation & Process Development

    • Support governance frameworks and reporting requirements as they mature
  • Project Plan & Timeline Maintenance
    • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and trackers across active initiatives

    • Coordinate with shipboard personnel (e.g., Crew Office, Ship HR, Guest Services) and shoreside departments beyond the immediate team (e.g., Refurb, Employee Communications, Business Intelligence) during active execution windows
    • Manage day-to-day execution decisions within guardrails, escalating where needed
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Feed lessons learned from the field into SOPs, governance documents, and process design
    • Support scaling of documentation and tools as the team's portfolio grows
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
