Job Description

We are seeking a solution-oriented Platform Engineering Lead to drive automation and orchestration across the cybersecurity technology stack. This is a horizontal leadership role inside the Automation & AI team, focused on solving enterprise-scale problems by leveraging capabilities across the tools—not owning them.

Job Description:


As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will coordinate and deliver automation solutions that operate across Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms. You won’t own these tools, but you will deeply understand their automation potential, how to orchestrate actions between them, and how to engineer intelligent workflows that drive impact.

Your role is to translate enterprise challenges into end-to-end solutions, regardless of platform. You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and domain owners to identify integration points, reduce friction, and ensure that automation delivers measurable outcomes at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead implementation of cross-platform cybersecurity automation workflows.

  • Translate strategic needs into executable solutions using the most appropriate mix of tools.

  • Orchestrate telemetry ingestion, workflow triggers, enrichment, and response logic.

  • Work hands-on with tools like Sentinel, Defender XDR, ServiceNow, and ADX—but without owning them.

  • Guide standards for how automation interacts with ITSM, detection engines, identity systems, and risk scoring frameworks.

  • Serve as lead integrator between the Automation & AI team and the broader cybersecurity stack.

  • Ensure governance, safety controls, and enterprise readiness of all automation pipelines.

  • Collaborate with the AI Lead to ensure insights are engineered into secure, responsive systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in security engineering, platform integration, or automation architecture.

  • Strong working knowledge of security tooling and APIs (ServiceNow, Defender XDR, Sentinel, etc.).

  • Experience designing automations across multiple platforms using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools.

  • Ability to drive results without owning tools—must operate cross-functionally in a federated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ITSM workflows, CMDB, detection logic, and risk-based prioritization.

  • Experience leading technical projects with high-impact outcomes across large organizations.

  • Strong communicator who can clearly document workflows, governance decisions, and integration logic.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$114,700.00 - $180,500.00
