Magnit is seeking a Master Data Specialist to lead the migration and maintenance of QC master data from LABWARE into SAP QM. You will ensure accurate data governance, collaborate across QC, QA, IT, and manufacturing, and support GMP-compliant master data processes.

The role requires strong SAP/Labware expertise, attention to detail, and ability to handle large data volumes in regulated environments. Experience with ERP deployments is a plus.

Position Summary

The Master Data Specialist will lead the creation, maintenance, and migration of Quality Control (QC) master data from existing Labware laboratory information management systems (LIMS) into SAP Quality Management (SAP QM). This role will support the transition of QC test data currently maintained in LABWARE into SAP by establishing, validating, and maintaining master data structures required for successful implementation. The position will work closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and SAP project teams to ensure accurate and compliant master data supporting laboratory operations, testing, inventory management, and quality processes. This role requires strong SAP master data expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of data within regulated GMP environments.

Primary Responsibilities

SAP QM Master Data Migration

• Support migration of QC test data, test specifications, retention inventory, and sample plans from LABWARE into SAP QM.
• Create, update, and maintain SAP master data required for quality management processes.
• Create, update, and maintain LABWARE master data required for quality management processes.
• Maintain detailed logs of all created and modified data.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established data governance standards.
• Perform data testing, validation and reconciliation activities before and after migration.
• Act as Data Verifier by reviewing data extraction, transformation, and upload quality.
• Collaborate with SAP implementation teams, QC SMEs, and IT partners to define master data requirements.
• Ensure LABWARE master data is configured to facilitate seamless migration into SAP.
• Maintain compliance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and master data governance standards.
• Conduct routine audits and quality reviews of master data.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement processes to improve data quality and prevent recurring data issues.

Cross-Functional Support

• Serve as a subject matter expert for master data-related questions.
• Partner with QC, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and IT teams.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment activities associated with SAP implementation.
• Develop documentation, work instructions, and training materials related to master data processes.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with SAP master data management; SAP QM experience preferred.
• Strong experience with Labware master data management.
• Knowledge of data migration, data cleansing, and data validation processes.
• Understanding of master data governance principles and data quality management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience creating and maintaining complex master data structures.

• Experience with specifications, sample plans, and quality-related master data.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, quality, inventory control, production control, master data management, or related disciplines; OR
• Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
