We are Systems, LLC, a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to grow and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This role is within Systems' Operations and Supply Chain group. A successful incumbent is expected to:

  1. Participate in problem solving for systemic improvement activities and root cause analysis for critical quality issues, productivity issues, and supporting manufacturing processes.
  2. Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and principles to various projects to enhance manufacturing, material flow, and overall process performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in systemic problem solving activities and root cause analysis for quality and productivity issues.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across projects to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Support and monitor Quality System tools and procedures, aiming to improve operational KPIs and resolve quality problems; maintain work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting major downtime, quality, or safety issues by analyzing BOMs, interpreting drawings, and supporting ERP transactions.
  • Calculate monthly staffing based on demand and capacity.
  • Lead productivity projects involving labor, overhead, and materials, utilizing engineering tools and process automation.
  • Audit safety risks, conduct Job Safety Analyses, and ensure ergonomic standards are met.
  • Manage and lead projects from initiation to completion, developing schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Develop capacity scenarios and business cases for capital investments, managing CPRs to meet goals and budgets.
  • Coordinate activities and NPD projects with minimal supervision.
  • Validate new or modified equipment through control runs.
  • Create and implement process deviations and ECNs as needed.
  • Design, quote, purchase, and implement fixtures, tools, and equipment for various projects.
  • Maintain industrial engineering data, update process layouts, and ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and contribute to team efforts.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or related experience.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in project management, Lean manufacturing, line balancing, and time studies.
  • Experience in project implementation and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of DFM, VA/VE, and productivity tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience in manufacturing environments.

Additional skills include familiarity with Microsoft Project, Minitab, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ERP systems.

The pay range for this position is $57,500 - $92,900, depending on factors such as location, education, and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, and PTO.
