Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. in Holland, MI is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Information Security to protect enterprise assets through cybersecurity programs, policies, and compliance management.

You will monitor systems, manage vulnerability remediation, respond to incidents, and raise security awareness across North America. You will develop and enforce security policies, oversee audits and certifications (ISO 27001, NIST), lead security trainings, and guide the rollout of new secure devices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of Information security experience in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity systems, technologies, and architecture.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and interpret security data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new systems and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems and manage remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Respond to data leakage and security incidents.
• Create, update, and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations (KNCT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Support ISO certification/renewal activities.
• Raise security awareness and conduct site audits for compliance.
• Lead trainings to improve information security awareness.
• Review security for new devices and solutions.
• Lead or support implementation of cybersecurity equipment.
• Project management for security initiatives.
• Contribute to cross-location information security efforts in North America.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and SOPs.
• Monitor and improve security controls across the organization.

Summary:
Sr. Specialist, Information Security will be responsible for protecting information assets through cybersecurity solutions, policies and procedures, and compliance management. This role involves monitoring the systems, managing remediation of vulnerabilities, incident response, and raising security awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Vulnerability Remediation
• Monitor the system for abnormalities and data leakage
• Conduct gap analysis to remediate deficiencies and improve security operations
• Respond to data leakage and security incidents
• Compliance and Standardization
• Create, update, and enforce policies and standard operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific security regulations (KNCT, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
• ISO certification/renewal support
• Awareness and Audit
• Support information security awareness improvement for all North America locations
• Conduct site audits for compliance
