Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking digital verification engineers to support the development of secure tactical communication products. The candidate will primarily function in an FPGA verification role, working in a team environment to verify and test embedded FPGA firmware for radio communication systems. Candidates should be familiar with coverage-driven verification methodologies, industry standard interfaces, and be capable of analyzing requirements, creating test plans, writing tests in SystemVerilog within a UVM framework, and verifying FPGA designs for radio product development projects.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform FPGA design verification and validation of embedded electronic communication systems.
2. Assist in developing verification test plans aligned with system requirements.
3. Develop self-checking test benches using SystemVerilog.
4. Create Agents, Test sequences, Covergroups, Predictors, and Scoreboards.
5. Develop randomized and directed tests to achieve functional coverage goals.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify product and design requirements.
7. Prepare and present technical reviews and briefings.
8. Maintain active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years, or 10 years of relevant FPGA/ASIC development experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• FPGA firmware and hardware debugging skills.
• Knowledge of Ethernet standards and packet processing.
• Experience with cryptographic algorithms for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Verification tools, FPGA/ASIC RTL design, Object-Oriented Programming (C++, Java), SystemVerilog verification, UVM/OVM methodology, functional verification tools, scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python, Tcl), Linux OS, industry standard interfaces (Ethernet, AXI, SPI), and technical writing.
• Motivated team player with strong communication skills.

Additional Information:

The salary range in NY State is $89,000-$165,000. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), flexible spending, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Final offers depend on experience and location.
