Job summary

DHL Express currently has an opening for a Data Analyst in Miami, Florida. This position will drive process improvements through data analysis, process automation and tools development.

The Business Analyst supports the DHL Express MIA Hub by analyzing operational performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations that enhance service quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in related subject area and 3-5 years’ experience or MS/MA with 1-3 years’ experience.
• 1 to 3 years data analysis and reporting automation experience.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint (advanced); VBA knowledge is desired.
• Knowledge in BI tool Power BI or equivalent; MySQL, SSIS knowledge preferred.
• Python knowledge is a plus; SharePoint knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making across the MIA Hub.
• Develop, maintain, and automate reports, dashboards, and KPIs using BI tools.
• Monitor hub performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve productivity, quality, cost, and service levels.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reviews with timely analytical insights.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Quality, Safety, Security, and IT teams to drive improvements.
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methods.
• Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, including risk assessments and audits.
• Identify operational risks and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
• Present analytical findings and project updates to management and cross-functional teams.

DHL Express currently has an opening for a Data Analyst in Miami, Florida.This position will drive process improvements through data analysis, process automation and tools development.The Business Analyst supports the DHL Express MIA Hub by analyzing operational performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations that enhance service quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role acts as a key liaison between Operations, Industrial Engineering, Finance, IT, Maintenance, and Service Quality teams to ensure business decisions are supported by accurate analysis and aligned with DHL strategic objectives.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational, financial, and service performance data to support decision-making across MIA Hub.
• Develop, maintain, and automate reports, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using business intelligence tools.
• Monitor hub performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve productivity, quality, cost, and service levels.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reviews by providing accurate and timely analytical insights.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Quality, Safety, Security, and IT teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive business initiatives.
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
• Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, including risk assessments, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify operational risks and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
• Present analytical findings, recommendations, and project updates to management and cross-functional teams.
• Drive a data-driven culture by promoting effective use of analytics and performance management tools throughout the hub.
• Develop ad-hoc analysis to find improvement opportunities, visualization, root cause identification, on business indicators and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Typically requires BS/BA in related subject area and 3-5 years’ experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 1-3 years’ experience in related field.

• 1 to 3 years data analysis and reporting automation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications: Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced), VBA knowledge desired
• Knowledge in BI tool, Power BI or equivalent
• Knowledge in MySQL, SSIS desired
• Python knowledge is a plus
• SharePoint knowledge is a plus
• Ability to work under tight timelines.
