Job description

Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

As part of the Bank Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting loan pricing, profitability analysis, pricing exception reviews, and lending-related business decisions that directly influence the performance of Charles Schwab Bank. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Treasury, Credit/Risk, Sales, Operations, and Controllers, providing exposure to a broad range of business partners and strategic initiatives.

You’ll help drive pricing decisions across lending products, including Pledged Asset Line (PAL), Mortgage, and HELOC offerings, while serving as a trusted resource for sales and operations teams supporting clients, including high-net-worth households. By analyzing loan pricing requests, evaluating pricing exceptions, supporting loan purchase activities, you will help ensure sound decision‑making, operational excellence, and portfolio performance.

Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to balance competing priorities while navigating complex business challenges. You will have the opportunity to influence lending outcomes, strengthen cross‑functional partnerships, and provide data‑driven recommendations that support business growth, risk management, and client‑focused solutions. As you continue to develop your expertise, you'll gain deeper knowledge of lending products, pricing strategies, banking operations, and financial analysis while contributing to meaningful business outcomes that make an impact across the firm.

While this position is primarily aligned to the Denver market, qualified internal candidates may also be considered for other Charles Schwab hub locations based on business need, team alignment, and manager approval.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in lending pricing, profitability analysis, financial analysis, or a related banking function.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated experience applying analytical thinking to evaluate data, identify trends, and support business decisions. Experience in an operational role with a finance background can also be considered.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to recommend practical solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to business partners.

  • Experience building collaborative relationships across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, technologies, and business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting lending products such as Pledged Asset Line (PAL), Mortgage, HELOC, or other consumer lending products.

  • Experience reviewing pricing exceptions and making recommendations within established authority frameworks.

  • Previous experience in banking operations combined with a finance or analytical background.

  • Knowledge of loan profitability, portfolio reporting, forecasting, and lending analytics.

  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, regulatory reporting, or risk-related initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
