Job summary

Dassault Falcon Jet in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to negotiate the most critical purchasing agreements and coordinate contracts across complex programs.

You will lead RFPs/RFQs, develop contracts, reduce material costs, ensure suppliers meet obligations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Travel may be required to support program needs and supplier oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Six years’ experience in purchasing including negotiating agreements and contract management.
• Advanced knowledge of contract negotiations in complex or highly technical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of purchasing procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage contracts for the most complex commodities.
• Oversee commercial aspects of new developments for complex programs.
• Conduct RFPs/RFQs and support RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs initiated by the parent company Dassault Aviation.
• Develop contracts and agreements to meet program needs.
• Reduce costs of purchased materials for assigned commodities.
• Ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations and manage recovery plans for damages.
• Document and resolve supplier disputes.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand supplier constraints.
• Explore cost-saving methods including new sources, negotiations, and integrated suppliers.
• Serve as backup for Purchasing Supervisor or Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible for negotiating the most critical/difficult purchasing agreements and the coordination, dissemination, and enforcement of the purchase agreements/contracts.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

• Manages the consultation and contracting process for the most complex commodities.
• Manages the commercial aspects of new developments for the most complex programs.
• Conducts RFP's and RFQ's supports the RFI's, RFQ's, and RFP's initiated by our parent companyDassault Aviation.
• Development of contracts and agreements.
• Reduce the costs of purchased materials for commodities.
• Ensure that suppliers meet their contractual obligations and negotiate recovery plans and financialdamages.
• Documents and resolves disputes with suppliers.
• Works with other departments to ensure that supplier constraints are understood and taken into account.
• Explore various methods of cost savings including investigating and evaluating new sources of supply, contract negotiation, integrated suppliers, etc.
• Serves as back-up for Purchasing Supervisor or Manager

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Six (6) years’ experience in the purchasing field to include negotiating agreements and the writingand management of the contract process.
• Advanced knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of contract negotiations in complexor highly technical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of purchasing and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment. Occasional travel may be required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $70,738.00 and $94,502.50 per hour/per year. This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited tothe type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
