Job summary

OhioHealth in Marion, OH is seeking a Senior Sonographer to proficiently perform echocardiograms, vascular studies, and research protocols, with involvement in the lab's quality improvement program. The position is Monday–Friday, day shift (8:00a–4:30p) at the Barks Road location; candidates must be registered in cardiac and/or vascular sonography and ready to train others while maintaining documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS registration, or registry eligible with certification within 12 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging and QA processes.

Job Description Summary:

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

External applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.

The Senior Sonographer is responsible for proficiently performing all diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, all research protocols, advanced quantification studies and follow‑up paperwork for each procedure as determined by regular quality evaluation from team lead and medical director. The Sr Sonographer has regular involvement and a leadership role in the implementation and execution of the lab’s QI program as required for accreditation.

This is a Monday‑Friday, day shift (8:00a‑4:30p) position located at the OhioHealth Barks Road location in Marion, Ohio. Candidate must be registered in cardiac and/or vascular sonography.

At this location, the sonographers perform echocardiograms including bubble studies and the use of Definity as well as stress echocardiograms. Vascular exams include carotid duplex, upper and lower arterial duplex and physiologic studies, aortoiliac duplex, aortic aneurysm duplex, and renal artery duplex studies. Experience scanning patients who have had vascular intervention including stents, bypass grafts, endografts, fistulas, etc. is preferred.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Minimum in a two year allied, patient related healthcare program (i. e. , sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN) AND either registered (RDCS or RCS) or registry eligible (RDCS or RCS) with registry obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS
