Job summary

Platform Science is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with sales, deliver technical demonstrations, and close enterprise deals. You will understand our product and business, deliver compelling presentations, and guide pilots from concept to implementation.

In this role you will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales and Support to ensure customer success, document requirements, and communicate ROI value back to R&D. A 50%+ travel expectation is anticipated across US locations.

Qualifications

• Strong relationships with senior executives and ability to forge long-lasting partnerships
• Solid technical background with software/web tech understanding and hands-on experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation ability
• Experience with ROI calculators and value-creation tools is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ across US locations
• Proven project management skills and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with enterprise-class fleets or large customers
• Familiarity with HOS and ELD rules

Senior Solutions Engineer Responsibilities

The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for partnering directly with sales to build excellent relationships and provide software solutions. This role will lead software demonstrations, address technical product questions, manage prospect pilots, and support implementations. It is required that this role can understand and close enterprise transactions. The Senior Solutions Engineer needs to understand all aspects of our product and business.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work with Sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
• Understand all aspects of our product and business
• Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
• Address technical product questions from prospects clients
• Lead and manage prospect pilots
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales and Support to provide excellent customer experience
• Gather current and potential customer specifications to ensure proper system configurations for their requirements
• Successfully match customer business needs to proposed solutions
• Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
• Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
• Collect and document competitive intelligence

Education and Experience

• 8+ years related experience
• Proven work experience as a Solutions or Sales Engineer
• Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation and creativity skills
• Strong experience with ROI calculators and other value creation tools
• Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
• Ability to travel 50%+
• Solid project management skills
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Experience with enterprise class commercial vehicle fleets or enterprise customers
• Experience with Class 8 fleets
• Familiarity with the HOS and ELD rule sets.

Physical Requirements

• This role requires minimal to light physical effort when performing duties such as sitting stationary, standing, and bending. This role requires an employee to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $126,000 and $160,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
