Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a senior solutions architect to partner with a leading financial institution, designing highly resilient, secure AWS architectures at global scale. You will bridge engineering and financial services, translating regulatory and business challenges into cloud solutions spanning real-time payments, fraud detection, and core banking modernization.
Join a team that values curiosity, ownership, and diverse perspectives, mentoring others while shaping cloud architectures
Join the AWS Solutions Architecture team that partners with one of the world's largest financial institutions, serving tens of millions of customers and processing trillions of dollars in transactions annually. In this role, you'll design highly resilient, secure AWS architectures that power core banking modernization, real-time payments infrastructure, and mission-critical financial workloads at global scale.
You'll work at the intersection of engineering and financial services, translating complex regulatory and business challenges into elegant cloud solutions that span high-availability transaction processing, data-intensive risk and fraud detection systems, and generative AI experiences that transform how customers manage their financial lives. We're looking for strategic thinkers who excel in ambiguity, communicate with clarity across technical and business stakeholders, and are energized by mentoring others.
Why join? Shape how millions of people interact with their financial institution, collaborate on some of the most sophisticated and compliance-driven cloud architectures at scale, and innovate in a culture that values curiosity, ownership, and diverse perspectives.
Your day spans internal alignment meetings, customer architecture discussions, and hands-on experimentation with AWS services to solve financial services challenges — real-time payments, fraud detection, core banking modernization. Afternoons bring solutioning sessions where you craft architectures that meet complex regulatory, security, and resiliency requirements, followed by building proof-of-concepts to de-risk high-stakes decisions. Between engagements, you'll partner with AWS service teams to advocate for your customer’s needs and influence roadmap priorities. You'll close your day evangelizing best practices across engineering, compliance, and C-suite stakeholders.
