Job summary

RTX is seeking a test engineer for an onsite role in Aurora, CO. You will support continuous testing across the development lifecycle, validate software functionality, and develop automated and manual test strategies within a DevSecOps pipeline.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and cross-functional Agile teamwork. Travel up to 25% as needed; contingent on contract award.

THIS ROLE IS CONTINGENT: Employment is based on contract award and customer funding. Travel to customer CONUS & OCONUS sites as required, but no more than 25%. This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO and is contingent on contract award.

What You Will Do
  • Support continuous testing activities across the development lifecycle.
  • Validate software functionality, performance, and security requirements.
  • Develop automated and manual test strategies.
  • Execute tests within an integrated DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Partner closely with development and operations teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable releases.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience managing test data and developing repeatable test processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional Agile teams. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI – current clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience implementing tests within a DevSecOps pipeline (e.g., CI/CD automation).
  • Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, or security test tools.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages used for test automation.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
