Sr. Software Quality Engineer - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or NYC

In your role as Senior Software QA Engineer at Kohler Ventures, you will:

1. Collaborate with the Head of Software, engineering teams, and product teams.
2. Develop a vision for quality assurance and lead efforts to embed quality into the entire development lifecycle.
3. Implement and support test automation within the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Establish testing standards, best practices, and expand test coverage in partnership with engineers.
5. Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify potential quality issues.
6. Participate in Scrum meetings to provide insights on requirements, design, schedules, and risks.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, including at least 3 years in mobile testing.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUI.
• Experience validating iOS and Android systems and devices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test plans and develop automation at all layers.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Availability to work outside standard hours for collaboration across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of software, hardware/firmware, and information security for cloud and IoT devices.
• Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.

Additional Information:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. The salary range is $114,500 - $145,450, potentially higher based on experience and location, with a Cost of Living Adjustment for NYC. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
