In your role as Senior Firmware QA Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

• Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).
• Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns.
• Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems.
  
  
  

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software QA Engineer, with at least 3 testing embedded Firmware.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing for hardware components.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for hardware/firmware validation.
• Contribute and grow our existing Python automation framework to expand our test coverage.
• Collaborate with the firmware team to ensure proper firmware test capabilities for new features.
• Ability to work independently and within a testing team.
• Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.
• Proficient in at least one programming language.
  
  
  

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is $103,950 - $145,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $120,582 - $153,062 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
