Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is hiring an experienced software engineer to design and bring up Kuiper-MAC firmware in a real-time embedded setting in San Diego, CA.

You will work in a cross-functional team to define performance requirements, make trade-offs, and build tests for FW subsystems while profiling on RTOS or bare-metal environments. The role demands strong leadership, debugging and familiarity with RF standards in broadband wireless.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems.
• Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, or related broadband wireless standards.

• Contribute in defining services and functionalities delivered by your FW-subsystems
• Define, document, test and debug your FW-HW interfaces
• Familiarity with SW/FW best practices (e.g., clean architecture, refactoring, …)
