Senior Software Engineer – Blueflame AI

Blueflame AI, part of Datasite, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop high‑quality software solutions that support our AI platform. The role will collaborate closely with Client Success, Product, and other Engineering team members to design, implement, and maintain system components, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

Location

Hybrid – NYC (3 days per week in office).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement server‑side logic and functionality for the Blueflame AI platform, ensuring efficient data processing and management.
• Create, maintain, and optimize databases (MongoDB, Redis), ensuring data integrity and security.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to enable communication between server and client‑side applications, and with third‑party services.
• Implement security measures to protect data and applications from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions, evaluate tradeoffs and communicate technical direction.
• Review and approve pull requests and plan and scope deliverables against timelines.
• Optimize platform performance and identify and fix bugs.
• Collaborate with Product and Client Success on requirements and delivery.
• Write and maintain documentation for code, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Experience building or working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and multi‑threading.
• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
