Job summary
Bank of America is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Production Stability & Development team in Jersey City, focusing on the Market Risk Suite. You will improve platform stability, reliability, and resilience through hands-on engineering, incident management, and automation.
The role emphasizes collaboration with business users, support teams, and developers to resolve complex production issues and drive preventative remediation.
Qualifications
- Experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem remediation.
- Strong ability to translate production issues into engineering solutions.
- Experience with automation, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, testing, release management, and Agile practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architecture integrity.
- Mentors other engineers on CI-CD practices and automation tool stacks.
- Performs story refinement, requirements definition, and estimates delivery effort.
- Develops monitoring, automation, and observability capabilities to improve reliability.
