Job summary

Qualifications

• Six years of production software experience on Solaris or Linux in the last eight years.
• Six years of Java or C/C++ experience.
• Proven RESTful services development experience.
• Infrastructure as code using CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Java development experience and Kubernetes familiarity.
• Exposure to OpenSource NoSQL (HBase/Accumulo, BigTable).

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with both Polygraphs is required

POSITION: Sr. Software Engineer

LOCATION: Ft. Meade, Maryland

JOB DESCRIPTION

Software Engineer to implement, test, and operate using advanced software security techniques in compliance with the technical reference architecture to enhance software systems. Perform on-going security testing and participate in code reviews to improve software security and features.

Debug, design, and code new software or modify existing software. Provide and recommend engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Contribute on all levels of the architecture and maintain technical documentation. Collaborate with team members and exchange knowledge on secure coding practices. Ability to develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

REQUIRED

• A minimum of six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent eight (8) years developing production software for Solaris or Linux environments.
• Six years (6) of experience developing software using the Java programming language or C or C++.
• Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful services.
• Demonstrated work experience developing infrastructure as code.
• Demonstrated work experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Demonstrated work experience in Java development.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Previous experience developing analytics applications.
• Demonstrated work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.

• Masters Degree + 16 years
• Bachelor’s degree + 20 years
