Engineering at Early Warning

Our engineering teams are organized around various platforms, capabilities, and products that support core banking functionalities like Zelle and Paze. These capabilities are often accessed via APIs or integration points, enabling innovation and stakeholder collaboration.

Overall Purpose

Develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software applications, applying best practices in secure software engineering. Collaborate with team members to deliver on project backlogs.

Essential Functions

• Participate in the design and implementation of complex capabilities.
• Develop features to enhance our core products.
• Manage source code with Git.
• Review and approve pull requests to ensure high code quality.
• Query data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Work on RESTful Web Services with Spring Boot.
• Document decisions and track work in Confluence and Jira.
• Build automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex bugs during development.
• Support risk management and data security efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in Software Engineering.
• Proficiency with Git, Spring Boot, SQL, RESTful services, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka.
• Experience with automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Background and drug screening clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional relevant education or experience.
• Experience with SOAP, XML, JSON, YAML, NoSQL databases.
• FinTech industry experience is a plus.

Compensation

In Phoenix, AZ: $120,000 - $140,000/year.

In San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY: $120,000 - $160,000/year.

Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary work involving extensive computer use, with occasional physical activity. Must be able to lift 15 pounds and communicate effectively.
