Axon in Seattle (hybrid) is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to drive infrastructure provisioning and automation. You will enable teams to self-serve infrastructure across cloud providers with Terraform and AWS CDK, focusing on Go or Java and scalable cloud solutions.

You will write clean, high-performance code, enforce IaC standards, and help shape architecture across the engineering organization. This role emphasizes collaboration, growth, and delivering impactful infrastructure.

Your Impact Join us in shaping the future of infrastructure automation for law enforcement systems. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you’ll drive the development of an infrastructure provisioning and automation platform. This platform enables engineering teams to self‑serve infrastructure — such as databases and Kubernetes clusters — through infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and AWS CDK. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on execution. We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in software development, fluency in languages like Go or Java, and extensive experience architecting cloud solutions.

Location: This role is based out of one of our Seattle office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in‑person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.

What You’ll Do:

• Build robust, easy‑to‑use foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision infrastructure rapidly, consistently, and securely across multiple cloud providers.
• Write code in Go that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise.
• Championing and enforcing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and coding standards.
• Employ strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to debug problems in cloud native distributed systems.
• Influence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns.
• Provide robust documentation for use by engineers to promote self‑service.

What You Bring:

• Experience building and scaling complex and impactful software products in a team environment.
• Deep skill in driving technical solutions across multiple teams.
• Strong experience using languages such as Go, Python, C#, Java, or similar.
• Strong experience managing infrastructure in the cloud (AWS or Azure preferably).
• Experience with Terraform, Terragrunt and CI/CD.
• Experience designing tooling to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.

Base Pay Range $120,750 — $193,200 USD
