Job summary

Axon is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to drive infrastructure provisioning and automation for cloud platforms. You will build self‑serve tooling, write Go and other languages, and shape IaC practices across teams.

Based in Seattle with a hybrid schedule, you’ll collaborate on multi-cloud deployments, leverage Terraform and AWS CDK, and mentor engineers while delivering high‑impact infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling complex software products in a team setting.
• Strong ability to drive technical solutions across teams.
• Fluent in Go, Python, C#, Java or similar languages.
• Extensive cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with Terraform, Terragrunt and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable infrastructure provisioning platforms for multiple clouds.
• Write performant Go code and ensure maintainable, clean implementations.
• Enforce Infrastructure as Code best practices and coding standards.

Your Impact

Join us in shaping the future of infrastructure automation for law enforcement systems. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you’ll drive the development of an infrastructure provisioning and automation platform. This platform enables engineering teams to self-serve infrastructure — such as databases and Kubernetes clusters — through infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS CDK. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on execution. We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in software development, fluency in languages like Go or Java, and extensive experience architecting cloud solutions.

Location:This role is based out of one of our Seattle office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in‑person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.

What You’ll Do:

• Build robust, easy‑to‑use foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision infrastructure rapidly, consistently, and securely across multiple cloud providers
• Write code in Go that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise
• Championing and enforcing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and coding standards
• Employ strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to debug problems in cloud native distributed systems
• Influence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns
• Provide robust documentation for use by engineers to promote self‑service

What You Bring

• Experience building and scaling complex and impactful software products in a team environment
• Deep skill in driving technical solutions across multiple teams
• Strong experience using languages such as Go, Python, C#, Java, or similar.
• Strong experience managing infrastructure in the cloud (AWS or Azure preferably)
• Experience with Terraform, Terragrunt and CI/CD
• Experience designing tooling to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.

Base Pay Range

$120,750 — $193,200 USD
