Job summary

Mobomo is seeking a Sr. Engineer to independently drive backend development and infrastructure initiatives in a remote-friendly DMV region, with limited oversight and strong ownership.

You will design, implement, and test backend features while aligning with evolving requirements. This role requires Kubernetes expertise, Linux and Docker experience, and the ability to work across CI/CD pipelines, with periodic in-person meetings at the DC office as needed; a US government clearance is required

Job description

Mobomo is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Engineer who can operate independently, require minimal oversight, and immediately contribute to backend development and infrastructure efforts. This role is ideal for someone who can execute on unknown requirements while proactively identifying and solving emerging technical challenges. It requires an individual who can operate in a context where nearly all requirements may be undefined, aside from the expected end outcome. With minimal supervision, this person must rely on their abilities to determine, design, and develop the solution they believe is best.

Location: Remote within the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia) with in-person meetings throughout the year at our DC office

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a US government clearance
