Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Brandt Information Services, the leading provider of SaaS technology and marketing services for state wildlife and parks agencies, is paving the way to better communicate and serve the public through their journey to go camping, fishing, boating, hunting, or hiking on public land. At Brandt, we build and improve upon the customer journey for public users buying campground reservations, fishing and hunting licenses, boat registrations, educational event tickets, and as well is the provider of branded and unbranded merchandise for our state agency partners. State funds generated go back into conservation and outdoor recreation improvements.

Primary Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including more advanced topics like consolidation, intercompany interactions, and cash versus accrual revenue recognition.
• Create financial and auditing reports to ensure system integrity.
• Monitor and verify the money flow process.
• Deep-dive into complex financial issues and identify and/or resolve the root causes.
• Create complex MySQL queries to support application development.
• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency through the usage of indexes, temp tables, and query optimization.
• Analyze solution requirements, design specifications, and change requests to understand expected system performance.
• Design, develop, and test software to meet requirements and design specifications.
• Use descriptive comments on complex code.
• Develop instruction sets or guides for team members on configuration or usage of shared libraries and code.
• Write high-quality code adhering to company standards.
• Communicate progress and blockers effectively during daily standups and with other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and ColdFusion.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, AWS, Git, and Pull Requests is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must clear a Level II fingerprint background check.
• This position is full-time remote.
