Job summary

WellSky is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Overland Park, KS. You will design and deliver scalable software across microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solid technical solutions.

You will contribute to code quality through reviews and testing, and embrace AI-assisted development to improve productivity and outcomes. A strong background in distributed systems and modern stacks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience across distributed backend systems, frontend, or cloud infrastructure is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and design complex, scalable software features across microservices, DDD/CQRS, and event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with managers, designers and peers to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Analyze bottlenecks, optimize performance for large-scale transactional processing.
