Position Summary

The Senior Scrum Master will be a key coach for scrum teams; they are responsible for performing the servant-leadership role and involved in coaching, mentoring, and training the team(s) on agile and lean practices to help teams scale. The Scrum Master will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate transparently and adhere to Agile values, principles, and practices.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Team Building – Promote and support high performing team(s) with diverse capabilities, who are aligned in their intentions to achieve the same goals.
• Servant Leadership – Utilize different team building and personality models to motivate diverse personalities to effectively coach and train the team(s) to relentlessly improve.
• Product Owner Support – Provide coaching and support to Product Owners in managing backlog for deliverables.
• Process Management and Improvement – Work with the Engineering Manager(s) to evolve and foster a well-defined Agile development process.
• Facilitate Planning and Execution: Facilitate the planning activities and empower the Product owner and Development team to define the scope and schedule.
• Predictability Improvement: Work with management and showcase the trend of quality, say do ratio, and stakeholder feedback.
• Coaching/Mentoring: Extend coaching support to the organization, actively participate and contribute to Communities of Practice.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• SM certifications (CSM/PSM, SAFe SM, PMI ACP or similar)
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• In-depth experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Demonstrated experience for JIRA, Confluence and other development and product management tools
• Strong technical background in a software development environment.

Education/Experience

• Overall 8+ years of software industry experience
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams as a Scrum master
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Base Compensation: $90,000 - $123,000
