Position Description:

Join our team as a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test and drive excellence in software quality and reliability. With a passion for innovation and cutting-edge technology, you'll design and implement automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber, ensuring flawless application performance. Lead efforts in API and UI testing, seamlessly integrate into our CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft detailed test plans. Your role will encompass validating features, mentoring talent, and shaping our testing strategy with expertise in API and manual testing, Maven, and AssertJ. Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using tools such as Java, Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and AssertJ.
• API Testing: Create and execute automated tests for REST APIs using tools like HTTPS Client and JSON
• UI Testing: Implement and maintain end-to-end UI automation using Selenium to verify web application functionality across different browsers and platforms.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed test plans and ensure comprehensive test coverage across multiple test levels (integration, functional, regression).
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, ensuring continuous testing in the development lifecycle.
• Manual Testing: Write and execute manual test cases to validate new features and perform exploratory testing when necessary.
• Test Reporting: Track test results, log defects, and provide detailed reports and metrics on the quality and status of testing efforts.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on automation best practices, troubleshooting, and test strategy design.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure timely delivery of quality software.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
• Expert proficiency in Java and working knowledge of frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium for UI automation.
• Strong experience with API testing, including tools like HTTPS Client, Postman, and working knowledge of JSON.
• Familiarity with AssertJ for writing fluent assertions and enhancing the readability of tests.
• Proficient with Maven for build and dependency management.
• Solid understanding of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation execution.
• Strong experience writing and executing manual test cases in conjunction with automated scripts.
• Ability to write and maintain detailed test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage and execution of test scenarios.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $173,500.00.
